Thinking about designing a car wrap to advertise your business or product? Whether you’re creating car wraps, van wraps, truck wraps or bus wraps, there are a few key things that you should keep in mind if you want them to be effective and eye-catching. Here are some important elements you should always include on your vehicle wrap:

1. A simple design

It can be tempting to throw everything and the kitchen sink at your wrap design, but oftentimes, less is more. As long as you create either a design or a logo that fits with your brand and don’t make it too busy or overwhelming, you’ll be more likely to get people’s attention.

2. A large typeface

This may seem obvious, but when a vehicle is driving by, potential customers only have a certain amount of time to read and process the information on the wrap. That means it should be big, clear and easy for them to read – and the fewer words, the better. You want to get your message across in a way that’s as simple and impactful as possible.

3. A call to action

What do you want people to do when they see your wrapped vehicle driving through Los Angeles? Visit your website? Give you a call? Whatever action you want people to take, make sure that this is clearly conveyed in the copy of your wrap, so people know how to find more information and hopefully become a new customer.

4. Some color

You don’t need to go crazy with the amount of color on your wrap, but a little can go a long way. You always want to distinguish your vehicle from the other cars and trucks on the road, and using colors that aren’t normally found on your average vehicle is the perfect way to catch someone’s attention, even out of the corner of their eye.

5. A value proposition

That is, think about what sets your product, service or business apart from your competitors. Are you offering a promotion? Do you have a service available that others don’t? Maybe your warranty is more impressive than that of the competition. Whatever your standout factor is, this is the time to leverage it and let people know why they should choose you first.
